If You Haven't Seen It, It's New To You
Reruns of old shows on TV are like brand-new exciting television. Also, Roseanne is a very underrated show. Nice touch playing scenes from The Lost Weekend underneath the credits for the episode where Becky gets drunk and gets in trouble. TV nowadays just doesn't have that kind of smart humour, for the most part.

"Roseanne" underrated? No way, it was critically acclaimed AND one of the top rated sitcoms of its era!
ReplyDeleteNow "THE NANNY", THAT'S underrated.
(My favorite "Roseanne" line of all time is when she's freaking out that DJ is dating a black girl- and trying to deal with her unexpected racism- and when the black girl's mother confronts Roseanne, she's all like: "I'm just trying to protect them, I don't think relationships from different cultures can work out!" The girl's mom shoots back: "Different cultures?!? What is she, a black girl from China?!?"
